Villa Helene, the building that houses the museum, was built between 1922 and 1925 to a design by the Norwegian artist himself, as a "little palace with a sculpture studio in the annex". The ground floor and the studio contain monumental statues, busts and designs for the World Center of Communication. In 1999 Villa Helene became the responsibility of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage. The museum can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, 9 am to 7,30 pm. Free entry.
