  Our "Origins"

February 20th at 16e30 a.m. The Antiquarium of Ostia Antica hosted Roberto Petriaggi, archaeologist sub aqueous director of "Archaeologia Maritima Mediterranea". With the director of the Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica, Mariarosaria Barbera, there was talk of underwater archaeology in the Italian seas and naval archelogy. Underwater is a fascinating branch of archaeology: The seabed reveals wrecks that tell us about the trades and the means of transport of the ancient peoples of the Mediterranean. In some circumstances, then, as in the case of Baia, the seabed guard buildings and portions of cities that once had emerged, but that the sea over the centuries has flooded. The participation in the conversations of public archaeology and legality, offered by the Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica, is free. The video clip is visible through the link next to the title.
