Palazzo Santacroce

Built at the behest of the important Santa Croce family, the namesake palace of Barletta, it overlooks the small square that precedes the cathedral, giving a fascinating glimpse to admire in the center. The lower part of the façade dating back to the fourteenth century still retains elements of medieval architecture, while the main portal is surmounted by a pointed square arch with rusticated rusticated walls. The upper floor is probably more recent and is characterized by some large windows, among which the central one stands out, with a small balcony. The dwelling is privately owned and is not open to the public.
