The Department of Biology of the University of Bari "Aldo Moro" in Via Amendola contains an interesting Museum of Zoology with a collection of about 1000 finds. In the museum space it is possible to admire zoological finds preserved in dry and in liquid, belonging to the Italian Apulian fauna and of north-eastern Africa. Numerous sections including ornithology and herpetology, which includes large turtles and a Seba python over 4 meters long, the ichthyological collection and entomology with about 500 specimens of Apulian insects. Marine invertebrates include sponges, corals and crustaceans. Finally, some human artifacts dating back to the Neolithic period in Puglia complete the itinerary, accompanied by a collection of scientific and educational tools.
