The Convent of Sant'Antonio a Fulgenzio of Lecce contains the precious collection of the Franciscan Art Gallery with paintings dating between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The works come largely from the oldest Franciscan monasteries in the area located in Casarano, Francavilla, Fontana, Galatina, Galatone, Lecce, Lequile, Manduria, Salice Salentino, Soleto, Squinzano and Taranto. Among the authors, mainly from Salento, appear Frate Giacomo from San Vito dei Normanni, who lived in the seventeenth century and authored the "Madonna della rosa" and "San Francesco receives the sacred stigmata" and Father Raffaello Pantaloni, author of a series of watercolor studies and tempering preparatory sketches for the frescos of the church annexed to the convent. Other notable signatures are those of Serafino Elmo, Oronzo Tiso and fra Francesco da Martina Franca.
