A centuries-old '' historical narrative '. The castle of Monte Sant'Angelo still bears witness to the alternation of peoples and architectural styles. Set in the Gargano National Park, the manor was built by the Lombards to later expand under Norman rule, when the Tower of the Giants and the Quadra tower were erected. It was Frederick II of Swabia instead, who had the so-called treasure room built. Looking at it today, the fortification highlights above all the influence of the Aragonese, who built the almond-shaped tower and the moat that precedes the entrance portal to defend themselves against enemy attacks.
