  Open House Roma

The headquarters of the Royal Academia de España, located in the former Franciscan convent, boasts one of the most striking views of the city of Rome from its Salon of Portraits. The complex, born at the end of the fifteenth century, is organized around the sixteenth-century cloister decorated with lunettes painted by Pomarancio. It houses the exceptional circular "temple" of Bramante considered the first great monument of the full Renaissance. Today the Real Academia de España carries out an intense activity of cultural promotion and artistic production, hosting the headquarters of Italian, Spanish and Latin American artists, creatives and researchers. Attentive to a transversal opening, in 2015 the Academy has created a ramp that allows access to the courtyard of the Tempietto and to the Exhibition Hall for people with reduced mobility.
