The Pantanella pasta factory, built at the end of the 19th century, tells the story of Rome's industrial past with its stratifications. A fascinating place, where architects Aschieri and Morpurgo worked among others. Within its historical memory, in the building of what was to be the biscuit factory, a soft and diaphanous space comes to life, played on shades of white and on the different transparencies of the chosen materials. The interior space of the shed is impressive: a large nave, covered by a double-pitched roof, punctuated by the filigree of the 11 iron trusses. A thin central spine on two levels separates the spaces destined for offices and archives, maintaining the circularity of the routes and the charm of industrial architecture. Today it is the headquarters of the Gimema Foundation - Franco Mandelli non-profit organization.
