Giovanni Tommasi Ferroni's studio is adjacent to other studies (now used as dwellings), which were designed by the painter Carlo Quattrucci and used, in addition to Quattrucci himself, by Rafael Alberti and later by Alessandro Kokocinski. The studio was later renovated by Riccardo Tommasi Ferroni, Giovanni's father, who made it a place perfectly congenial to his art, here he worked from 1970 to 1990, when he decided to return to his native Tuscany. Access is via a narrow staircase, which leads to a terrace overlooking the Botanical Garden. The study takes light from the large window overlooking the Botanical Garden, and retains a disheveled and bohemian atmosphere that frames the works in progress by Giovanni Tommasi, Ferroni and his wife Maya Kokocinski (Alessandro's daughter).
