FAO's mission and mandate is to achieve food security for all, to improve nutrition and to promote sustainable agriculture. The priority of the Organization for the coming years is to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, especially through the achievement of the "Zero Hunger" Objective. FAO, founded in 1945, has 194 member countries, two associate members and the European Union, a member organization. The headquarters of FAO consists of the complex of buildings designed in 1938, by Vittorio Cafiero and Mario Ridolfi. The tour includes a visit to the most important and emblematic rooms of the Organization, such as the Plenary Hall, where world leaders gather to discuss and make decisions on issues related to agriculture and food security, and the collection of works of art. art donated by Member Countries. A visit to the panoramic terrace is also included.
