The headquarters of the ACS was originally intended to house the headquarters of the Exhibition of autarchy, corporatism and social security in the context of the Universal Exposition of 1942. The ACS has the task of preserving the archives produced by the organs and offices central offices of the Italian State. A reference point for any historical research activity on contemporary Italy, the archive also contains 48 archives of architects and engineers that constitute the largest collection of such collections in Italy. The visit will illustrate the methods of conservation and enhancement of these highly valuable sources which include illustrious names such as those of A. Brasini, L. Moretti, M. Paniconi, G. Pediconi, R. Morandi, C. and M. Busiri Vici. For the occasion it will be possible to visit the new hall for architectural archives inaugurated in 2014, normally excluded from the consultation, viewing the collection of plastic models.
