  Open House Roma

The building, formerly the African Museum, now the headquarters of the Rome Libraries, was built in 1923 as a colonial museum. In 1940 it took the name of Museum of Italian Africa. You can visit the entrance and the monumental corridor characterized by the splendid original chandeliers, the conference room with 4 large French windows that overlook the Bioparco of Rome at Villa Borghese and the front garden where there are still doors with typical goat doors. The venue hosts the exhibition of photographer architect Gianluca Fiore entitled: Km1 - libraries in the center, photo reportage.
