The Judicello: judicello, as the river Amenano was called, because it crossed the Giudecca, offering its waters also to the mikveh. Then earthquakes, eruptions, have changed the layout of the city and now the river flows under the lava stone, underground, making itself visible only in some places, such as Villa Pacini, once a few steps from the sea, Piazza Duomo, under the fountain of Amenano, one of the most beautiful monuments of Catania, with its jet of water to form a sheet, hence the name of "water 'or linzolu" as the people of Catania love to call this fountain and then flows here, in the underground part of the restaurant "l'ostello", too fascinating not to be enjoyed by customers who generally ask to eat their lunch or dinner sitting at one of the few tables located right inside the cave, pampered by the sparkle of the river, which flows a few steps from them, and its ancient music.
