  Notes of art in Lombardy

In the village of Soncino, in what was once the Jewish quarter of the city, is the fourteenth-century tower house considered the first printing house with Jewish characters in Italy. Since 1988, the year of celebration of the fifth centenary of the printing of the first complete Hebrew Bible, the building is home to the Museum of Printing. The exhibition space distributed on the three floors of the house, tells the story of the Nathan family who had here the printing and housing laboratory and illustrated the different typographic techniques with machinery and presses still working.
