  Musei d’Italia

The 16th century palace served until 1803 as a summer residence for the Bishops of Brixen. Famous at the time was the deer enclosure. Like any self-respecting summer residence, it also had a huge aviary for birds and a fish tank. Today special attractions are the precious Renaissance furnishings (wooden panels, stoves, frescoes), an archaeological collection and the collection of works of art dating back to the XV-XX centuries. The castle chancellery houses the Museum of peasant culture of Velturno, with a collection of artifacts and tools for agricultural and artisanal use.
