Characterized by two entrances at the two floors of the churchyard, a gabled façade, a quadrilobate rose window and a bell tower built in three distinct phases, the Church of San Simon has ancient origins. Legend has it that a soldier named Celentone built an oratory dedicated to SS Simone and Giuda Taddeso, and from that moment onwards Christianity began to spread in Val Biois. However, the first evidence of the existence of the place of worship, as for many sacred buildings of the province, is in a bull of Pope Lucio III of 1185.
