  Streets of Rome

In the middle of Trastevere, just behind the church of Santa Maria in Trastevere, opens this small largo named after Maria Domenica Fumasoni, a town of Castelli Romani. The Fumasoni Biondi had the merit of rediscovering the weaving technique of asbestos fibers examining some burials of Roman age found at Villa Rufinella in Frascati, excavation of which was occupying her husband. He later expounded his conclusions in 1806 in front of the Academy of the Lynxes.
