  Streets of Rome

It takes its name from the ancient mail station and the tavern that was on the Via Cassia, at kilometer seventeen, the last stop for the stagecoaches to Rome, right there where the road forms a curve at the elbow. Among the historical events that are narrated there is the apparition of Jesus to Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, who was traveling along the Via Cassia to travel to Rome and be received by the Pope.
