It owes its name to the great opening on the Felice Aqueduct, built by Sixtus Quinto in 1500, to feed the city but above all its large agricultural villa that stretched from Piazza Esquilino to Castro Pretorio. It was said « cunning » the area because it seems that the bandits were lurking that « smart move », plundered passersby. More plausible that instead comes from the presence of the aqueduct, in Latin form, then forma Urbis vulgarized in a sly door.
