  Streets of Rome

The name comes from the fact that here already in the sixteenth century there were warehouses of wheat and starchy to be given to the poor. It is true that nearby is also the Church of Sant’Elena ad molinos of the Society of the Molinari. It is also said that the name derives from the proximity to the pawnshop where part of the profit was destined to the purchase of flour to be distributed to the most needy.
