He is buried in this church of San Silvestro al Quirinale. A jurist of the end of 1500, he took part as an accusation to numerous important processes, in 1599 he assumed the defense of Beatrice Cenci, accused with the brothers of the murder of the father. The lasting fame of this case caused that even centuries after the event its name appeared in the numerous manuscripts dedicated to the « The Case Cenci » or in the many nineteenth century novels dedicated to it. In 1595 rumors began to circulate about his homosexuality, until he was investigated for Sodomìa (at the time a capital offense) on Berardino Rocchi, a young servant of Cardinal Marco Sitticus Altemps. Farinacci managed to avoid the conviction only because Pope Clement the Eight decided to grant him grace. It was on this occasion that, playing on his surname, the pope pronounced on him the judgement, then became famous: « The flour is good, it is the sack that is bad ».
