"His name is Donato di Angelo di Pascuccio known as Bramante. After the French invasion of the Duchy of Milan and the death of Ludovico il Moro, his patron, the artist leaves Lombardy and arrives in Rome. Although he was over fifty years old, his art grows. In the city of the popes, Bramante is enthusiastically welcomed. Two memorable works: The Classical cloister of Santa Maria della Pace and the circular Temple of St. Peter in Montorio, which in 1570 Palladio cites as the only example of modern work worthy of being compared to the temples of antiquity. It is with Julius Second that the most important Commission arrives: to devise St. Peter.  The factory of San Pietro is a shipyard in continuous becoming and, despite the success of the direction of the works of the greatest artists and a substantial redesign of Buonarroti, an element has always remained unchanged. The magnificent dome that that artist Traveler drew without delay to impress the world.
