It is the first of November of 1512, the day of All Saints and St. Peter when the event that will mark forever the history of art happens. With a solemn mass, Giulio Second inaugurates the Sistine Chapel redesigned by Michelangelo Buonarroti.  Only four years before the pontiff had entrusted the great artist with the task of modifying the decorations of the chapel built in the years of his uncle's pontificate: Sixtus Forth. Giulio Second, born as Giuliano della Rovere, was one of the most important pontiffs of the Renaissance; at that time he seized the political spirit but also the love of beauty: Pope warrior and creator of complex intrigues, patron of artists such as Michelangelo, Bramante and Raphael. Determined, astute, ambitious, Giulio second tries to tie the Roman nobility to himself and gets rid of the powerful Borgia.
