He was an Italian jurist and politician, born in Rome in 1926. He was an university lecturer and also the leader of Catholic Action and a Democrat exponent. On February 12, 1980, at the end of a lesson, while he was having a conversation with his assistant Rosy Bindi, he was killed by an armed unit of the Red Brigades, on the mezzanine of the staircase leading to the professors classrooms of the Faculty of Political Science of La Sapienza. He was hit with seven caliber 32 Winchester bullets; Annalaura Braghetti was the first one to shoot and then Bruno Seghetti.
